Later in the Autumn term, we will focusing our writing on a Christmas clip 'The Longest Journey.' We will be writing character profiles, setting descriptions, and innovating the story. We will also be writing evocative Winter poems, focusing on using our senses.

In the Spring term we will be focusing our writing on the story 'The Bog Baby.'  We will be innovating the story and creating our own characters. We will be looking at the setting of the story and using our senses to describe it.

Our Summer term will focus on stories relating to the natural world. We will be  looking at some engaging stories, such as The Crow's Tale, and Wild.

Teaching and Learning in Maths follows our Oakhill planning document which teaches the four main areas in maths. These are Number and Place Value, Geometry, Measure and Statistics. Where possible, links have been made across the maths curriculum to provide children with as many opportunities as possible to apply their knowledge and understanding.
