‘Working together for a brighter future’
At Oakhilll, We believe that in order to facilitate teaching and learning, good attendance is essential. Oakhill aims to raise standards in education and to ensure that students achieve their full potential. We recognise that this aim is not possible if they do not regularly attend or are persistently late.
Pupils are expected to attend every day. It is the responsibility of parents to perform their legal duty by ensuring their children of compulsory school age attend regularly and are punctual. We have a wide range of support available to help any parents who need it. Please contact Mrs Keay if you need any help at all.
Attendance and punctuality issues can have a detrimental effect on the education that a pupil receives. Evidence shows that missing out on lessons leaves students vulnerable to falling behind and the tendency for them to achieve less than those students with a good attendance record. The table below shows the difference in attainment between children who attend regularly and those who do not.
We update this page each half term to show the overall attendance for the school and the attendance in each year group. Remember, our school target for this year (2023-2024) is 95%.
