ALSO - Every Friday-  Forest Friday - outdoor activities so wellies and a suitable coat required.

Things to remember ...

  • Working Together Books (Homework) are given out every Friday and should be back in school before the following Thursday to share with friends.
  • Reading is an important part of the children's development and children are required to read at home and practise their high frequency words everyday or as often as possible - do not forget to sign their reading diary too! These should be brought into school everyday.
  • Remember you can change your child's reading book as often as you feel it is needed, either come into school in the morning with your child, or ask your child to change it when they come in.
  • Parents are welcome in the class until 8.55am every morning, come and join us!
  • PE day is every Thursday. All children are required to wear the correct uniform for PE (white or yellow tshirt, black or navy shorts/joggers, pumps)
  • Fitness Friday is every Friday - children should wear black or navy tracksuit bottoms & jacket top with a plain white or yellow t-shirt.
  • Forest Friday is also every Friday - children will be spending time outdoors in all weathers, please ensure children have wellies, waterproof coats and clothing appropriate to the weather.

What you need to know about the curriculum...

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework supports an integrated approach to early learning and care. It gives all professionals a set of common principles and commitments to deliver quality early education and childcare experiences to all children.

As well as being the core document for all professionals working in the foundation years, the EYFS framework gives parents and carers confidence that regardless of where they choose for their child’s early education, they can be assured that the same statutory commitments and principles will underpin their child’s learning and development experience.
