Class teacher: Miss Chrobok
In Cedar class we pride ourselves on our friendly, caring nature to each other.
We are striving to become confident, independent learners who enjoy a challenge.
In Cedar class we are on an exciting Learning Journey. We work hard in lots of creative ways,
we are kind to our crew, and we have lots of fun.
We will be reading Julia Donaldson's 'Superworm' and making links to our Food for Life topic. We will be writing character profiles, setting descriptions, and innovating the story. We will also be writing evocative Autumn poems, focusing on using our senses.
In the spring term we be focusing on traditional tales! We will look at the story Little Red Riding hood and Jack and the Beanstalk.
Our Summer term will focus on stories relating to our geography topics all about the seaside! We will be writing a recount of our trip to the seaside and looking at some popular stories, such as the lighthouse keepers lunch.
We will be working on number bonds, addition and subtraction, 2D shape, telling time to the hour and half hour, and money. We will also be focusing on building our mental maths skills to support our KS1 SATs tests.
